Dawn Syren Jenkins

When I first met Dawn, she and my son were both attending school in Duluth. His Mom and I drove up one day to visit. On entering the apartment Dawn introduced herself. When we asked if Andrew was about, she told us “It’s not my day to watch him”. In the 10 years since, it’s still not her day and that’s been a good thing for Andrew. And that’s the point of my letter – SHE has been a good thing for Andrew. And a good thing for our whole family. I try to tell her, regularly, how special a person she is. Today is Dawn’s birthday. Happy birthday, Dawn. Thank you to your lovely family and any other forces that caused you to meet up with ours.
